Yarda, based in Australia, is a lawn care start-up that prides itself on offering a personalised experience while tackling environmental issues. Using a customer's location and lawn size, Yarda can tailor a plan that takes weather, soil and grass type into account to ensure that people who use their products are impressed with the improvement in the quality of their lawn.
During the initial phase, I first create a project roadmap to help the client visualise the process and what we are aiming for. I then started off by conducting comprehensive research to analyze existing funnels and studied competitor websites. This helped me gain insights into effective strategies and identify areas for improvement. Through user feedback and industry best practices, I pinpointed pain points and potential opportunities to enhance the user experience.
To create a seamless user experience, I developed user flows based on research findings and user requirements. These user flows guided the creation of wireframes, which depicted the logical sequence of screens and interactions. I collaborated with the client to finalize the chosen user flow and wireframes that best met their needs.
The key deliverable of this part of the project was the redesigned funnel. It started with the home page, where users entered their address. I then simplified the series of questions about their lawn, ensuring an intuitive and user-friendly experience. The next step was designing a product page to showcase Yarda's customized nutrient subscription plans effectively. Finally, I developed a user dashboard, providing customers with a centralized hub to manage their lawn care subscriptions and track their progress.
Throughout the project, I closely collaborated with the development team to ensure the successful implementation of the funnel design. This involved understanding their technical requirements, addressing any constraints or feasibility concerns, and providing ongoing support. I made necessary updates to the UI designs and the Figma file based on the developers' requests, ensuring a smooth handoff for implementation.
My Yarda design strategy involved thorough competitor research, user flow creation, and cohesive high-fidelity UI design that echoed their brand identity. This yielded a redesigned funnel with streamlined questionnaires, a captivating product page, and an intuitive dashboard for enhanced engagement. Working closely with developers ensured seamless implementation, addressing technical intricacies. I harmonized existing and new brand elements, incorporating illustrative graphics like lawn-evoking diagonal lines and dot grids, enhancing imagery and banners. Warm yellows, subtle greens, and vibrant terracotta hues completed the inviting and cohesive aesthetic.
