The project aims to create a digital platform for those dissatisfied with traditional medicine, offering cost-effective alternative treatment options. The target audience is open-minded but cautious individuals seeking the best-fit treatment. Key features include a treatment comparison tool, personalized recommendations, and expert/user reviews. Motivated by my own experience with unsatisfactory support for chronic/unknown illnesses, I designed this platform. I conducted research, user interviews, ideation, and prototyping, with a commitment to making a meaningful impact on lives facing unidentified health challenges.
In the initial phase, I conducted surveys with 88 participants, revealing concerns about the cost (29%), trust (11%), and effectiveness (43%) of traditional medicine alternatives. Additionally, 51% of participants reported unexplained illnesses unidentified by their doctors. User interviews with individuals facing chronic or unknown illnesses highlighted the need for more accessible healthcare options.
Using the insights from research, I developed the MVP, "Heal," a digital platform featuring a user-friendly website, a chatbot, medical history tracking, and a doctor assignment system. Additional features included progress tracking and a peer review system to enhance user confidence and transparency in the healthcare journey.
Embracing an iterative approach, I committed to continuous improvements for "Heal." The platform evolves based on user feedback, ensuring it remains relevant and effective in addressing challenges in holistic healthcare. The goal is to provide an ever-improving resource for users to manage their health and well-being.
Throughout the entire process, a user-centric approach guided decisions and improvements. The purpose was to bridge the gap in holistic healthcare, providing a valuable resource for users. "Heal" was designed to be user-focused, addressing their needs and challenges, and ensuring that the platform remains aligned with the ever-changing requirements of users in the holistic healthcare space.
My design thinking approach begins with deep empathy for users, understanding their needs, and challenges. I iterate on solutions based on real-world testing and user feedback, always seeking to improve. Innovation drives me to find fresh, user-centric ways to solve problems, creating impactful solutions that resonate.
